The Syracuse Hancock International Airport is Central New York’s gateway to the world. With nonstop service to 24 cities across the East Coast, Midwest, and West, though predominantly along the eastern seaboard in New York and Florida but stretching as far west as Denver, Colorado. The airport is served by the following carriers: Allegiant, American Airlines, Delta, Frontier, jetBlue, and United. Travel from Syracuse to Clayton is straight forward taking only one-hour and twenty minutes along two roads, Interstate 81 and NYS Route 12.

Watertown International Airport is a small local airport that serves the Watertown, Fort Drum, and Thousand Islands areas. It offers twice daily nonstop service through American Airlines to only one destination, Philadelphia. Parking at the airport is free for any length of travel. Car rental options at the airport are limited so expect to grab an Uber to an offsite rental agency. It takes roughly 25 minutes to travel from Watertown International Airport to Clayton.

For those visiting the area via private plane, the Ritchie Airfield is a FAA approved private turf airstrip located three miles south of the Village of Clayton on Rt 12. The owners and managers ask to please call before landing. The airstrip measures 2000 feet long by 100 feet wide with a wind indicator.

Watch the St. Lawrence Seaway's biggest ships pass mere feet below you as you walk across the Thousand Islands Bridge spanning the American channel. With the River 150 below you and centered directly over the shipping channel, the TI Bridge is an incredible outdoor activity to explore during your stay. Park at the Thousand Islands Bridge Welcome Center and walk over the Bridge while enjoying breathtaking views of the river. Construction began on the Bridge in 1937 as a CCC project and remains an impressive engineering project with its 800 foot suspension architecture.
